We received almost the exact message today, our number came from 760-782-6852, they use different numbers, all a bunch of crap!

My call came from a Shawn Anderson with an Asian Accent, I told him this is a scam and he said hes sad that I feel this way that He hopes I am sitting home for the next 2 hours that law enforcement is on there way.. SCAM SCAM SCAM 323-238-3850

"Kelley Allen" called me. She also had an accent and I had to listen to the message several times. 323-238-3824 was the number that was repeated twice. My message was very similar to Sally's message but I think my message ended with "good luck".

This is the message left for me. Caller had a heavy accent some of the words weren't clear. Here is the script.
"Hello this message isn't... free.. (attempt to pronounce my last name) Hello (name) this is Nelson Carter with the Department of Legal Affairs of US Treasury and I was trying to reach you in regards to a very important issue. This is a .... modification issue for (name) in regards to some law enforcement action that has been started on your name, my number is 323-238-3879. I repeat that 323-238-3879. If for any reason you are visited a call back I would suggest you either have your reaching attorney to do it for you as delaying calling us might end up into a legal mess for you. I hope you will take this right and call me right back. This is Nelson Carter with the Department of Legal Affairs looking forward to speak to you. Until then goodbye and have a blessed day.

The caller had a very pronounced accent. He stated the call was in regards to enforcement actions. Not calling back right away could lead to a legal mess.

Call sounded almost exactly like others posted here. Caller (with a thick Indian or Pakistani accent) left message for my husband, stated she was from the Department of Legal Affairs (What kind of made-up name is that?! Like the department of Important Stuff!). She also warned of a legal mess if her call was not returned.

Message said a law enforcement action was made in my name. Person speaking definitely sounded foreign. When I tried calling the number back I get a message saying to visit MagicJack.com. The Magic Jack number has not been assigned, please check you number.

same thing happened to me this morning. the caller would not give his name but he sounded middle eastern, using the number,(202)-697-9145. I wanted to post this info as well. when i asked who he worked for he started dropping the F-bomb at me repeatedly cussing very rudely at me. this seemed to me, not a regular government call. i hope someone can catch these worthless people and take them to justice as they so deserve!.

Just received a call from "Adam Walker" at 323-786-6507, "Dept. of Legal Affairs". I did not call this person back. This is a scam! If they call back, I will have my brother look into this further as he is a lawyer.

Sounds a lot like my experience:
I got a call from "John Dorsey", number 213-437-6096, of the Dept of Legal Affairs, US Treasury Dept. He had a slight Hispanic accent, otherwise good English, asking to speak with my grown son.
He Wouldn't say why except it was in relation to a case being filed on Monday, and for my son to call right away to speak with "Chris Walker" at the same number. I gave no information but he knew our address, he claimed they sent a Certified letter and the failure to respond was the reason for the call. I reported this scam to the US Treasury TIGTA.

This robot has called me 27 times since 3:04 this morning. I just called Las Vegas Metro Pollice and filed a complaint. METRO says this is a scam call do not pick up the pbone when they call. METRO says they use multiple numbers these scammers. They said if you do not know the number on caller id do not pick up the phone. If number is legitimate they will leave a message. A human will leave a message i should say ignore robo messages it is likely a scam.

I just got the same call from Adam Walker Ph # 760-897-3200. He said word for word exactly what Ken (below) said. I called the number back and got a female obviously from a foreign country and she was very rude. I told her I was going to call the police and she told me they would lock me up behind bars, then hung up. What a rude bitch!

Got a call today from Adam Walker. He said he was with The Department of Legal Affairs. Much of his message as unclear. He said this was a verbal notification regarding some action which happened against my name. I did not return his call and have no plan to speak with him.

Received the same phone call from the same person, Sean Anderson. He was looking for my son, who doesn't live with me anymore; he also knew my name. I gave the message to my son. He called that person back and they were asking him to send them $5000.00. While he was on the line with Sean he also called the police and they said that their are alot of phone scams going on and they didn't do any more than that. Total "SCAM"

He was looking for my wife, told him she was not available. He wanted her to call Jason Brown at this number. He wouldn't tell me what it was about and said that I had better give the message to my wife as he was recording the message and forwarding it to the person she was supposed to call. He had an accent...bogus call.

Oh, and when I tried calling the number back it went to the voice mail of the so called Department of Legal Affairs. The voice mail message did not sound at all professional. Like others have mentioned, I too am on the Do Not Call list.

It sounded spammy from the get go and I when I called him on it, he pretty much told me I'd better show up in court and hung up.
