Caller indicated that she was from the Department of Legal Affairs and told me that my daughter had a case pending against her and that if she didn't respond immediately her case would go to court within 24 hours. Rachel claimed that multiple notices had been mailed to my daughter. I protested that none were received. When I asked for the case number of the legal action she said she couldn't give it to me. When I asked to speak with her supervisor she responded, "oh, nonononono. Nonononono." I said, "You can and you will let me speak to your supervisor." She hung up. "Rachel" spoke with a heavy Asian accent and at times her syntax was unintelligible. At others it appeared she did not understand even simple English. My daughter spoke with Rachel's colleagu, Rober,t in a subsequent call and he said the "legal action" would not proceed if my daughter agreed to fund a "voucher." My daughter refused and Rachel's colleague said the police would be showing up in an hour to arrest her.

I had the same thing happen from a Sean Williams in LA at 323-786-9839. On the second call I picked up, told them that I knew it was a scam. "A scam?" he said. I said yes, a scam, I'm not even the person he was looking for and to stop calling me. He told me he was going to call the police to have me arrested. So I sit and wait for the police to show up.

Just received same kind of phone call. Did not answer because the caller ID said "unknown". A man named "Victor Osborne" with heavy accent (from India) claimed to be with Dept of Legal Affairs @ US Treasury. Calling because of law enforcement action being initiated against us. I had the same thing with a heavily accented man calling me. Said his name was Chris Wilcox with dept of legal affairs, US treasury. I needed to call him right away and if I was to busy, my attorney can call. I will be in a big legal mess if I don't. Also told me to have a blessed day at the end. The number was from Compton, CA 562-361-8610.

A man named "Kevin Miller" with a thick accent claiming to be with a Dept of Legal Affairs was calling because enforcement action was pending against me. Man with Indian accent identified himself as Philip Smith from Legal Affairs Department, saying something started on my name and urging me to hire someone from his team to do it for me... I could hardly understand what he was saying.

Got a call today from 202-864-1277. Woman with thick accent said pretty much everything everyone else is saying their person said, but she added under her breath that she was with the Legal Dept . . . of the US Treasury. It's all BS and highly illegal! Debt collectors at their worst, and I really didn't think they could get any lower than their current level of snake's belly!
