I had the same thing happen to me today...It's a scam artist phishing for information with claims of being an IRS officer. Beware as the caller will confirm letters were mailed and the situation must be resolved or the local police will receive your case (which an actual case number is provided over the phone). The caller will want to "prove that you're an honest person" by asking you 3 questions (any felony's, bankruptcy in the past, or traffic violations). She (Susan Davydov and/or Eva Fwafford) will tell you an amount and ask if you can remediate over the phone to prevent further action. If no, they threaten to have the policy at your employer site/home and seize all your possessions, bank accounts, etc., and place you in jail for 72 hours before you can have a hearing, ruin your credit, etc....It is a scam.

If the IRS calls you, I've been told they would confirm their name and agent number...But most often they do not call. The proper procedure is to mail information to your home address on record. Do not provide these scam artists any information...Just hang up the phone!

this number has called my home phone at least five times a day for a week. Until today, I called our local law enforcement and the IRS too and reported this number. Now, I can't get this guy , who is no doubt from India, to answer the phone, OMG. I still have so much of my mind to give this piece of crap.

OMG.....wow ok so they scared me for real... So the average person unless they are aware of all these scams may fall into their trap. When I received this call I was surprised because I always double check all my taxes and make sure all is up to date.. He said I owed taxes for 2012- 2014 and that I had a court date because the IRS was suing me. He said I had to hire a lawyer and would be find about $30,000 dollars. Then he gave me another option to pay $2,000 he said I would have to get a voucher not to use checks or credit card." this is what got me cause a lot of people get asked for their credit card". He said I would have to stay on phone with him at all times when I get the money from my bank and when I am on my way to drop it off at IRS... I was like nope never mind I will go to court. He said really you would rather go to court. I said yes. He then said ok two IRS officers will be at your home within 3-4 hours of the time we spoke. I said ok I will be waiting. Never came my hubby told me look it up on Google and I did and this is what I found..... Guess I'm not the only one...I don't play with The IRS. Thank God it was just a scam and I listened to my gut and not go do the whole process of brining the money or Voucher.

Total Scam...........claim to be IRS and their "rep" barely spoke English. They claimed I was 300 dollars short on my taxes. Asked me about an address I lived at 10 years ago. I told him I still lived there. Don't give any personal info. If they don't have it.....ITS NOT THE IRS!! I get a name.........hang up. Look up online what the agency is or call 411........call back and ask for that person.....

What really agrvegatas me about the complicated legal hurdles that we all have to endure is that the expenses involved in them are not actually counted as part of the tax burden.Indeed, we are commonly led to believe that those of us living in western countries hand over about 35% of our earnings to our governments.Far more relevant to us, however, is the fact that if we also take into account all the red tape that EVERYONE has to pay for (e.g. government-imposed red tape on businesses - which increases the price of the goods and services that we consume) we discover that around 50% (not 35%) of our purchasing power is appropriated by government. FIFTY PER CENT!For example, in Dr Helen's case, if she pays $500 to an accountant, this will not count as part of her 'tax burden' - but, surely, it should be counted as such because it is the government that has imposed this burden upon her.Of course, it is not counted as 'tax' because the money goes to her accountant, not to the government.Indeed, what we see happening nowadays is governments increasingly imposing their demands on people via the **private** sector. The idea behind this is to increase the power of government without this being reflected in the 'tax' take. This is nothing more than a deceitful scam which is perpetrated by governments to hide the fact that their powers - and the burdens that they impose upon us - are forever increasing.FIFTY PER CENT!

lol . freudian slip there Edward? Your loans have been pain in full As per CG's reply above . To stop hiassarng calls/letters, you son needs to send the company doing this a letter of Cease & Desist. Google it for more details. It really helped me out! You could also get a lawyer to call Mr Noriega and warn him not to call you again.Or you could just start calling him at 3 am Oh, is this an inconvenient time for an unsolicited call? Use your imagination and you can get him curled up in the foetal position in a corner sucking his thumb.Good luck
